Ella Potenza

Ella is the Farm to School Manager at Sustainable Nantucket. Before starting for SN in Spring 2022 she worked at the Nantucket Public Schools and monitored Nantucket’s endangered beach nesting birds. 

Being born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Ella attended CUNY College of Staten Island, earning a B.S. in Biology, focusing on Enviornmental Science, and a B.A. in Philosophy. Ella has enjoyed working in the hospitality and restaurant industry as well as a zoo keeper, farm hand, shorebird monitor and coastal steward. 

When Ella is not in the garden with her students, you can find her working at Via Mare restaurant in the Graydon House, or on the beach with a book and binoculars.
