Our NantucketGrown™ brand promotes and supports the consumption of locally grown food, making it easy for consumers to identify food that has been grown, processed, and distributed on the island. Inspired by successful “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” initiatives—such as CISA’s “Be A Local Hero” and Martha’s Vineyard’s “Island Grown”—NantucketGrown™ raises awareness about the benefits of sourcing food locally while strengthening our island’s food system. This initiative provides farmers, restaurants, caterers, specialty grocers, and retailers with an instantly recognizable mark, assuring consumers that their food is truly island-grown. By choosing NantucketGrown™, residents and visitors alike support local farmers, sustain our community’s agricultural heritage, and enjoy the freshest ingredients Nantucket has to offer.

Sustainable Nantucket recognizes and promotes NantucketGrown™ members through multiple platforms. Members are listed on the Sustainable Nantucket website and featured on the NantucketGrown™ map and sourcing list. They receive a digital logo for use on menus, printed materials, and online promotions, along with an annual membership logo and window sticker.
