Farm & Field Bike Tour with Sustainable Nantucket- September 3rd, 2025

Join us for a scenic and educational Farm & Field Bike Tour celebrating Nantucket’s agricultural heritage and vibrant farm community.

This guided ride begins at 9:00 AM at Moor’s End Farm and winds through the island’s backroads and farmland, with behind-the-scenes stops at Berry Patch Farm, My Grandfather’s Farm, and Sustainable Nantucket’s Mentor Farm and Farmstand. Along the way, you’ll meet local farmers, learn about their farming practices, and enjoy the beauty of Nantucket’s working landscapes.

The tour concludes at Sustainable Nantucket’s Farmstand on Hummock Pond Road, where you’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch provided by Pip & Anchor, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Transportation back to Moor’s End Farm is provided, or you’re welcome to bike back on your own.

What to Bring:

  • Your own bike, and helmet, or reserve one in advance (bike rentals included)

  • Water bottle

  • Sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing

  • Reusable bags

Rain or shine! Space is limited—reserve your spot today and experience Nantucket’s farming legacy in a whole new way.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

FAQs – Farm & Field Bike Tour

Do I need to bring my own bike?
You’re welcome to bring your own bike, but bike rentals are available if needed—just let us know when you sign up.

What’s included in the tour?
The tour includes guided visits to local farms, a fresh farm lunch at Bartlett’s, and a return ride back to Moor’s End Farm provided by Sustainable Nantucket.

How long is the ride?
The route is approximately 7.5 miles, mostly on paved roads with a few gentle hills. We’ll make several stops along the way.

What should I bring?
Please bring water, sunscreen, weather-appropriate gear, and a reusable bag for any goodies you may pick up along the way.

Is the event rain or shine?
Yes, we ride rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.
